Just some thoughts I wrote down last September

We concern ourselves with flesh, materials, influence, needles desires. Where has true passion gone? Do we excuse authenticity in the name of culture? Have we forgotten love and joy? Or has it always been gone? Indeed pleasures we know today were the love of somebody at some time with desires rooted not in selfish lust, but in the boundless joy and happiness that comes from giving. Once a person would give away comfort for the hope of serenity. The individual need to provide more than material drove mankind to great heights. Now it seems we must play a game and establish identities, flaunt entitlements, and superficially grasp the dreams of the men, women, and visionaries we once were. Yet now we know not of them. When capital takes precedence we can never share our love. For love is specialized and cannot be tailored to everyone which always seems to be the counter-argument. If we can set up a society not based on equality but instead on fairness we lose the entire purpose of achieving art, music, poetry, scientific and spiritual revelations. Indeed these are the reasons we live, without this the ways of lust, entitlement, greed, and corruption take control. Shall our expressions of love and creativity be limited to food and lustful intentions? We have all grown to hate God, logic, true literature and even our own freedom. Creativity is now expressed through wines, cakes, and any new little trinket, this is how we express our need to celebrate the planets riches. Maybe this all began with our first mirror, which means we were doomed very early on. However, love decides to show itself again. It will never be too late.
