18th-century Temple-building system

This time we talk about the temples built in the 18th century. The eighteenth-century temple-builders included Rani Bhabani of Natore, King Krishna Chandra Roy of Nadia, and Sitaram Ray of Bhusan. (See below about the makers of the Kolkata temple). The predominantly fortified landlords of the 17th century were the Mallaraj of Bankura-Bishnupur. Their reign was the golden age of the medieval Hindu temple construction. Many of their temples built in the seventeenth century can now be seen in Bishnupur, abandoned or broken. The artistry and architecture of these temples still make us wonder. Although the dominance of the kingdoms of Bishnupur was greatly reduced in the eighteenth century, and the construction of the temple was diminished with it, the construction of the temple by the Mallars was not completely stopped in the eighteenth century. Temple of Kalachad near Lalbondha and the temple of RadhaShyam built in 1758 AD, demanded mention in the temple built by the Mallarajas in the eighteenth century. In the 18th century, a person of Basuphurbar in Bishopalli of Bishnupur had also constructed the Nawaratna Shardidha temple. In the beginning of the eighteenth century, the king of Bhisha satam ray built a black temple (1703-04). It was built in this century, Pancharatna temple (1754) of Lakshminarayan in Khatnagar, under Burdwan district, and a Shivmandir with its peak, and 12 miles away from Dinajpur, in Kantanagar, the diverse architectural nabaratna temple (1704-22). Built in the mid-18th century, the Pachish-Ratna Laljir Temple and Krishnachandir Mandir at Kalna village of Burdwan district. In the middle of the century, a stone-made 'Rak' deol was built in Bhandishwar (1754) of Birbhum district. In the beginning of the century (1704), the 'Rak' temple of Jute village was laid by Purulia. Otherwise, the temples in Bangladesh are all brick-built. Rani Bhabani built many temples at Baranagar in western part of Bhagirathi near Murshidabad. Among them, the huge Bhavneshwara Temple is the largest. There are also four Jongabangla temples around a pond. At the end of the century, a seventeenth-century temple of Comilla was built in the period of Tripuri Criticism (1773).

A feature of the eighteenth-century temple-building system is the construction of many temples in alignment. On most grounds it would have been in the case of Shiva temple. The number of such alignments would be between 12 and 108 rupees. For example, Rani Bhabani created 100 hundred Shivmandir in Baranagara.

The properties of many brick temples in Bangladesh are 'Terracotta' or terracotta decorations. These were usually made. Squeeze in the form of tiles, or burns in 'pon' By decoration of this, the temples of Nandkisorjiyur Temple of Halishahar and Birbhum are special. The theme of decoration of the temples of the 18th and nineteenth century is- Ramayana, Mahabharata and myths, Krishnilila-related affairs, contemporary samagrites, wildly breathless and speedy fluctuations of wildlife, and flowers, pastry and geometrical design philosophy. Among the stories of Ramayana, Harbhanvabhanga, Ramasita's forests, Nasikikadan of Narayanakadanan, Marichabad, Ravana-Jatayur war, Jatoyuphik, Ashoka forest, Sita depiction, and achievements among the story of Mahabharata, Shankuni's pashakhala, Garhshalpa garhalera, War of Kurukshetra warrior, fisheries etc. In the mythological content, Vishnu's Dashabata, Ten Dikshapala, Ten Maha Vidyans and other maternal and other popular legends, such as Shivabivah, Kaushal, Mahishasurmardini etc. Among the social scenes there are Baroda-luxury and various entertainment, for the welfare season, the presentation of foreign women to the ladies, the behavior of the Mohant community and many domestic scenes.
