Many wealthy and influential people of Bengal had embraced Gaudiya Vaisnavism of Chaitanya (1485-1530). After Chaitanya's arrogance, many of them placed temples of Radha Krishna and Gaur-Nitai in the nanastha of Bengal. Moreover, Vaishnavites also established many mathas. Its continuity continued in the eighteenth century. In addition, in the eighteenth century many Shivmandir and Shaktamandir were also built. In most places, Bengal's own architecture was followed in the construction of these temples. The architecture of Bengal's own architectural style is what it is called here.
The temples of Bengalis are generally divided into three categories- (1) Chala, (2) Gems, and (3) Temple built in the building style. These are different from those commonly recognized in Indian temples-architectural styles like 'Rek', 'Pashri' and 'Dravid' in Shailirite temples. It means that the temples of Bengal are made up of Bengal's own architecture. Chara Chala Mandir was built to imitate the straw cottage that is found everywhere in village-Bengal. The temple of Octavala was built by constructing a small Chanchalaya Temple on the head of a Chanchalaya temple. The inscriptions of the Atchala temple are visible throughout Bengal. Shiva temples of Bengalis usually have a temple built in this style. Kalimandir of Kalighat also has a temple built in this style. And when a large peak was made in the middle, four small peaks or fourscrests were made in four corners, called 'Pancharata Mandir'. Once again, when Pancharatna built a double room in the middle of the middle of the temple, four small curtains in the four corners of his roof and a large pinnacle was made in the middle, then it was called 'Nabaratna' temple. Thus, one temple was increased to the temple and the temple was destroyed. For example, it can be mentioned that in the nineteenth century, the temple of Bhabartiri in Dakshineswar, built in the nabaratana temple. Where the roof of the temple was flat instead of the peak, it was called a temple built in the building. Temple of Siddheswari Temple in Bagbazar Needless to say, the Bengal temples were built with bricks. Not with stones .. However, the stone-made temples are also two-four, but they are 'Rek' temple.
