On National Mentoring Day I'm reminiscing at my invitation last year to a garden party held at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Prince's Trust, an organisation set up by Prince Charles to support disadvantaged young people to get into either education or employment.
Volunteering has been a huge part of my life over the last two years. Being a Mentor, Well-Being and Literacy Specialist for the Prince's Trust has helped me to realise the value I have through the young people I support on their journey to increased self-esteem, confidence and potential.
Thank you to all Mentors for giving up your time to share skills and experience with our young people.
