Random Acts of Kindness

Once in the last month, I've witnessed... and once been the recipient of... a random act of kindness.

Heading home from an afternoon out shopping with my mother not long ago, we drove through the Sonic drive-thru for a quick lunch. I was very surprised to hear the Sonic employee tell me at the window that the gentleman in the car behind me wanted to pay for our lunch.

The first thing my mother and I did was to turn around and see who it was... expecting to see someone we knew. But it was someone we didn't know. We had never this truck or the driver before. We thanked him with waves and smiles, which he humbly returned. It was obviously not done for recognition. I've never forgotten that day or the kindness he showed us... two people he'd never met. Something like this makes you want to jump in with both feet. You start looking for something you can do in return.

I've decided that, although I cannot change the world, I can change me. I am going to seek out ways to Pay It Forward each week. I look forward to hearing about your gestures of kindness and the impact it made on someone.

Very nice dear @tanata
It is indeed a good habit to live the life for others. Helping others when they are in need of that is very good activity.
Dear I also like this to help others when they need to.
One day I was in a restaurant to take some food for my mother, when I came out from restaurant I saw a aged lady looking for someone for food, I asked her that why she sitting there she tell me that I have nothing to eat some food... I was very surprised and I gave her the food which I was buy for my mother. And I was very happy for that help.
I was never told this to anyone except my mother but today I write it here.

I'm glad you did this wonderful act. These are not trifles, the world becomes a bit kinder by every good deed!

Thanks for your appreciation and support. So nice of you.

We pratice altruistic behaviour and it is also better to do it to the person that you know that can not pay back that is when you will feel the sense of self satisfaction .

Mine was when I was in third year in the university I met a small boy crying on the way ,when I saw the boy crying I came closer and asked him what was the problem ,he told me that he was pushed out of the class because of school fees ,I asked how much was the fee ,he told me the amount ,the money was small because the school was a government school ,so I gave him the money right there ,the boy was happy and me too I was happy ,the boy turned and asked me who I was ,I told him that am a friend ,he also asked me what he will tell the parent ,I told him to tell them that a friend gave it to him .

The boy laughed and greeted me and I was happy that I can render such help.

Didn't tell this to anyone except here .

You can give a helping hand anywhere and anytime .

Stay blessed .

This is a wonderful act too! Good thing you shared it here. We must learn to kindness from each other!
