The Bigger Picture

A lot of people get so caught up in their lives. They complain about simple things like getting up in the morning and going to work or figuring out what they should have for dinner. They create problems from daily experiences that they should really be grateful for. Complaining actually projects to the universe that these are real issues and suddenly you will find more complicated problems will begin to occur.

Forget the fact that there are so many people hungry and unemployed who struggle with the brightest smiles on their faces. The kind of people who will not surrender to failure or the obstacles that are presented in front of them, the kind of people who fight every single day to survive. I was watching a movie over the weekend and one of the characters said, “There are some people into whose laps the good things in life fall. I’m not one of them. Coming out here finally taught me that. So, if the good things won’t come on their own, I must make them. And that’s what I intend to do.” I kept thinking about that line, because it is completely accurate. Personally that line pretty much hits the nail on the head about life for me. Sitting and complaining about how your life is wasted energy. Focusing on what you can do make it the best possible life is all you need to do. I’ve made a conscious effort to always look at “The bigger picture”. Because the truth is whatever the problem, whatever your circumstances are they do not have to be permanent.

I honestly never thought I’d see the day that I wouldn’t be bothered by the simple things. Every time something trivial comes along, I begin to think of all the important issues I have to tackle. You see energy and time are really powerful elements in life. Both cannot be regained once lost. The average life expectancy of a human life is 28,000 days. That’s right. 28,000 days! That may sound like a lot but it really isn’t. When you finally see how limited our time is… that is when you will see “The Bigger Picture”, each person has their own interpretation of what that is. For me it speaks in the form of questions, ultimately what is my purpose here? Is it to pay to work and bills? Or is it to make an impact a real difference in the lives of the people around me?

Wow you are so right sometimes we just get so caught up in our own lives that we don't realize the bigger picture. There is a greater purpose I mean at the end of the day did we help someone. I try to stay positive no matter how many things and people are being negative around me. People ask me how I stay positive most of the time I answered with this: it's a choice that I have 100% control over and nobody can take that away.

It's a huge job to teach yourself to be positive always! You are an example to follow. thank you very much for your comment!

Thank you tanata, its not always but most of the time. I spent too many years angry and frustrated and it just ate me up inside :)

I know what you're talking about. You are well done!

The title resumes it all. We must always see the "bigger picture", not only the bad things that we have/did. That's what we must keep in mind everyday, even if the life can gave us the worst things ever, we need fighting all the way to open new doors.
Nice post!

I completely agree with you. Thank you so much for your words!
