Color mutation of Snowdrop flower

in life •  6 years ago  (edited)

I became a bit more cautious about snowdrop flowers and their visual appearance. Some seem to have some kind of mutation that makes the yellow-ish green color to express on the outer petals as well as inside. They are quite rare and usually there are pure white on the outside. Sadly some of them were damaged because someone or something walk over them (the last photo).

Did any of you ever see something like it?

I love the delicate green of these. We have some with a darker green marking, but most of them are, as you say, pure white. Where did you find these?

They grow around rivers here in Slovenia. They are rare (colored ones) , but if you watch closely, you can find some that are a bit different.
I never pick them, especially those special ones. I hope they seed out ☺️
