I was never stupid

Thailand's former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said that he was never dishonest. Yingluck accused in a corruption case for granting subsidy to rice cultivators, stood in a court in Bangkok on Tuesday, saying he was victim of political harassment. If the allegation against Yingluck is proved, then there can be a 10-year sentence.

Yingluck, standing in the court, said the subsidy-related policies have proven to enrich the grassroots and the national level economy. There is no harm to this policy. He said there was no dishonesty in rice and it was right. When he was standing in the staircase, more than 1000 supporters were slogans for him outside the court.

Yingluck Shinawatra came to power on August 5, 2011. On April 7, 2014, due to the abuses of power, the country's Constitutional Court dismissed him, including nine ministers. In 2015, he was banned from politics for five years.

Tigress Yingluck said in the court, "I have never stepped away from my duty, nor did I take shelter in the duties of doing duties. I know, I am a victim of a deep political plot. '
