the notion of cloud mining, is it real, is it sustainable, punt, gamble? how do you feel about it? - gamble taken!steemCreated with Sketch.

i’m not a gambling man at all, never have been, dad drilled into my at an early age about ‘credit’ and the dangers, i didn’t listen and at 17 had a rented tv set, it was a major pain in the arse, i got rid of it, he was right. i never did credit again. but i’m compelled to have a go at mining as so because i can’t do it locally i’m trying in the cloud.

listen, i’m not a gambler by any means, but cloud crypto mining was one area that i had to play with, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, you have a punt, a little flutter (we call it a flutter around here, flutter on the horses) as in if you suddenly get hot and your wave the air around ya face as you drop some hard earned cash on a horse in the HOPE it will win. i’ve never really gambled, never been into casinos, or even had anything like that to be able to see what it felt like as an experience.

i’m all about dead certs, maybe that’s why i’m a starving creative artist, we spend too much time on the definition, the outcome, the expectations, prepared for the randomness in the work but not in the finished product. never had the resources to gamble in some blind hope that something will pay off, yet with crypto because of that open blockchain ledger, the notion behind it, my yearning for a living wage world and more i’m just compelled to try.

i mean, look at the worst this has been a $50 investment, i can spend that drinking warm lager piss and eating food that doesn’t look like the food in the menu, i get it, it’s all waste at some point, we can wield money like the hammer of thor on our lives decisions or stumble home and put our feet in cow shit from that session at the village pub. i get it. we are the worst virus on planet earth us humans.

to me the genius of the blockchain and especially bitcoin is that the miners are doing the validation of the transaction of the movement of the funds, i mean, it’s really genius right? you need both to co-exist with each other and it’s extra interesting what us as humans will put our BELIEF into if the outcome is something that agrees with our basic moral compass. if we are honest we are sick to the teeth of the notion of grey suited men sitting around a table flirting with the secretary, raking up the interest on imaginary ones and zeros that sit inside a system they created ‘so you don’t have to store your cash under the bed’ - get the fk outta here.

so then, if you fancy a life punt today. like i did, check out this new micro hash place, i checked them out in companies house, they exist, how long for, who knows, is a pump and dump business, build it up and then vanish with ya funds. maybe, i simply don’t know. we never can know, some of us get ahead and some don’t.

today, we take a punt. fancy a punt? let’s punt.

I dunno, I have about $70 invested with Hashflare. The shares aren't expensive but my Satoshi payout has declined quite a bit in the first month. I just have to hope that the rise in price outpaces the difficulty increase.

hmm, i'm kinda thinking it's gonna be break even or a little less, BUT having a crypto currency in general in a wallet i think is useful, especially for someone like me that wants to be always on the move, being able to send that to a virtual wallet or use on a phone to pay using apple pay. opens so many doors not having to have a plastic card.
