The Voices In Head - What Are They & Is That Normal

Auditory hallucinations, known as the "voices in his head", represent a special kind of hallucination concerning the perception of sounds, even though from the outside there are no adequate sensory stimuli. This type of hallucination is most associated with people with schizophrenia.

Many people who hear "strange voices in his head" fear that crazy, but psychologists now believe that this is so commonplace that it seems completely normal.

The fact is that 70% of patients with schizophrenia report voices in his head as part of his state, would be a mistake to tie them exclusively for this psychological disorder or assume that if you experience auditory hallucinations - you have schizophrenia.

Voices in the head is occur in patients suffering from epilepsy, brain tumor, dementia, bipolar disorder, Parkinson's disease and post-traumatic stress disorder. People who hear voices say that they seem to voices coming from outside and not from your own mind. They claim to have no idea what will these voices when they say, and can even include in the conversation.

However, there are opinions that the voices in my head itself are neither harmful nor useful, but it depends on how they are perceived.

Some believe that the person who is trying to overcome a trauma or insecure, suffer from loss of self-esteem and is considered vulnerable, such votes perceived as dangerous and harmful.

Due to incorrect indications in most movies and stigmatization that accompanies mental patients, laymen believe that the person who experienced auditory hallucinations are purely aggressive intentions. For these reasons centered fear of the unknown is the reason that these people are very difficult to find their place in the social world. To prevent this, it should work on educating citizens.

Because of fear and lack of understanding of society and psychiatrists, the voices in my head have become generally accepted as a symptom of mental illness, something that is negative and which need to be addressed.
