Home Spa Day with Daddy- The Mud Mask

in life •  8 years ago

Yes, yes, I know, sounds weird. Home Spa Day with Dad instead of mom, really? YES! The silliness of the whole thing, combined with the bonding experience of waiting for your face to dry up and exfoliate, yeah it was kinda worth it. For all you dads at home that want some unique memory-creating time with the kiddo, hit up these three steps!

1. Find a mud mask that is fun and affordable. I went with the toughguy "Legendary" brand while Chey went with the girly girl 7th Heaven brand. Both are single serving for just over a buck at Walmart.

That's right, folks. An exfoliation treatment in the comfort of your very own home costing less than 3 bucks and 10 minutes of your time!

Step 2- Read the directions, pin back hair (if needed) and listen to your daughter tell you how weird it feels to have the mudd mask cleanse her pores while looking like dead skin. (Be careful around the hairline, eyes and lips- avoid coverage).

Step 3- After hearing her ask "are we ok to pull the mud mask off" for the 11th time, lol, after about 10 minutes, or when completely dry, start to peel the masque off. Make sure to pull slowly and allow the dried masque remnant to hang off the face for some cool, spooky horrorific effects!

Step 4- Wrinse skin with warm water, and if needed, apply a light moisturizer for protection against overdrying. For us guys who aren't used to having pores cleansed, it really does make your skin feel good.

Hope you all have a great Friday and thank you for reading!
