What is the most important role of a leader?

One of the most important traits for a leader, I think, is to learn to speak last. That way, regardless of if you take the advice of your subordinates, at least they feel heard.

"Hey I have this problem, how do you think we should solve it?" Then go around the room and ask the people.

If you had a solution in mind, you can still go with it. At least your team and people feel valued and listened to.
