I love this quote from Napoleon Bonaparte. If you fear something you are setting yourself up to be brought down (defeated). The best way to deal with challenges and not be defeated is to arm yourself with knowledge that works. Be willing to pay the price and learn how to insure your success.

Dig your feet it prepare and go get it!

I like your idea of prepare and the go for it. Makes sense to me!

Fear is a terrible thing, it is not the absent of faith as generally assumed, it is a faith on it own. It is a faith that says something will not happen as expected. Lol

When faith says it will, fear will say it won't. Both are set of believes

Thanks for the inspiration sir.

I had not thought of it that way, @emmakkayluv, but that makes sense. Fear is a (distorted) form of faith and it can really gold us back. Thank you very much for sharing that.

I'm glad you like it... Thank you too

What did Churchill say? If you're going through Hell, keep going.!

Yep! Ole Winston C knew what he was talking about. Thank you for sharing that!

Not sure if it worked for Napoleon though!!! 😀
Greetings Terry!

Well, Napoleon did alright except for in the end. That Waterloo thingy didn't go too well for him, I hear.! Nice to have you visit @tikotiko. Hope you are doing well.

Love this! It's important to be aware of the possibility of defeat, and plan for how to avoid those situations (as Charlie Munger said, "All I want to know is where I'm going to die so I never go there"), but being aware of defeat is much different than fearing it, which will hinder growth in the long run. Thanks for sharing!

Good point. I like that idea of staying away from where you will die. Thank you for stopping by and your comment.

I don’t think fear is necessarily always a bad thing. It’s because of fear we are cautious. If we don’t fear drowning, we would never learn to swim. If we don’t fear poverty, we would never work. Fear I think sometimes pushes us to do better and be better. It helps us accomplish our goals. Even fear of failure, is motivation to succeed.

You raise some very good points, @anonymity5. I think the difference is between fear that paralyzes someone and they can't get anything done vs when we have more wisdom and caution. It sounds like what you're talking about is the prudent and wise caution before embarking on something fooling.

I greatly appreciate your comments. Thank you for stopping by.
