Classical Chinese text - Part2

in life •  7 years ago

Hi,

today I want to continue with the Classical Chinese text which I wrote about last week (Classical Chinese proverb Part1).

It goes like this:

禍生於欲得,福生於自禁。

Disaster is generated because of desire – Happiness is generated through self restrainment.

Sometimes in life you just need some kind of restrainment. If you like to eat ice cream and you always buy one if you long for it it's nothing special for you anymore and you might not enjoy it as much as it was the first time.

Follow some rules or precepts in life and forget them once every while to start to enjoy the small things in life again :)
