My Fun Chess Match: 2 SBD For Anyone Who Can Guess My Next Move

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey Steemians,

I would not consider myself a great chess player by any means, but I do enjoy playing. Chess is an art; it's a game of pure strategy. Hell, even in life, we compare people and situations to chess. Or as Dylan would say... "only a pawn in their game"

This is a game I played tonight. I am white. The game at first glance make look pretty "open". However, I have a clear advantage. If the moves are played right, I should win this. Well, in fact, I did win this game. Pretty quickly, I may add.

I want to play a fun game! Who can guess my next move? The first to answer it correctly, wins 2 SBD. Good luck chess enthusiasts!

After the winner is determined, I will display how the game ended.

********Congrats to @erre for winning the contest! 2SBD being sent your way. Now for the rest of the game! My opponent made more mistakes after my bishop check but the game was still pretty fun. For other chess enthusiasts out there let me know if you like how I finished the game. It was speed chess so there may have been a faster win than what I chose.

I didn't show all of black's moves, but this should be easy enough to follow. Black resigned.

Cheers!

d3 x h7 check!

Haha, extra for the enthusiasm. I love the bishop "sacrifice" with the stone wall formation. The greatest part of this game is that it was not a sacrifice at all. Congrats sir. 2 SBD is being sent your way!

Bishop gambit for the win. Thanks a lot on reward, nice seeing some chess on steemit

Hello man! Hope everything is great with you. I was offline by a lot of months from steemit.

We both meet ourself in burstcasino, if im right. Have a good day / night. Cheers mate! :)

hey hope you are well! I'm still an investor in Burst, but it seems like a lot of bad things happened with the assets. Big bummer. The coin is still doing okay though.

Yeah true that mate. Weird things happened in the community, nowadays is a good moment to get some Burts but well.. I dont like the coin anymore like it used to do.

But im sure soon or later the priece it will go up again, and maybe u can get some profit from it.

next move pawn at the side move one step forward beside the black horse

While this is a tempting move, it is for sure not the best. I think with that move white still clearly has the advantage but it's speed chess. Let me give you a small hint. I am glad the knight moved there and I don't want it to move back. That knight does not scare me; in fact, it is worthless there.

kg5? I just started getting into chess and am not sure if that is completely correct notation. I am guessing you moved your knight to G5.

I like the idea. You are using strategy in that you are threatening the knight by moving another piece. Closer, but then the knight will just move back to f6, and the threat in that moment is over. A more aggressive move, but not the move I chose.

I was thinking that after moving the knight you could move the bishop to h7 where he would safely be putting the king in check.

You were very close, sir. Problem is that when the knight goes back to F6, it is protecting that pawn. Stay tuned for the development of the game to see how you can just directly take the knight after checking.
