Manic Monday | DIY Counter Refresh, Creepy Critters, & Salad

Today was pretty nice! The weather was great, work went well, and I was good and ate relatively healthy.

It’s supposed to rain tomorrow and it did sprinkle a little this evening, so we will see. If it does rain tomorrow, hopefully it won’t impact my work to much. If it rains lightly it’s no big deal, but if it comes down heavy then I’m not able to work and have to wait it out.

My bosses wife has all these weird trinkets all over their house. This creepy pumpkin showed up this morning in their kitchen, and I’m not sure how I feel about it! It’s funny to look at but at the same time it gives a bit of an uneasy feeling with it just staring like that, lol.

She also moved her life size monkey to hang in one of the front windows. This is one of the stranger acquisitions of late, and she even put makeup on it to make it more lifelike since the color didn’t match the image she ordered from.

Building on the creepy theme of the day, there was this large bunny head hanging in the back storage area of my dad’s store. I guess they’re getting ready for the Easter season! Easter bunny costumes are probably one of the more unintentionally creepy things out there, to me at least.

I made a tasty salad for dinner! Lettuce, spinach, cucumber, tomato, onion, bell pepper, cilantro, boiled egg, and ham, with hot sauce and ranch dressing to dress it with. Satisfying and filling!

After dinner was DIY time, with this being the before shot of the vanity in the bathroom...

And this is the after result! No more ugly puke yellow counter to look at! It’s a vinyl sticker roll so it can be removed when the lease is up.
