It was another slow day at work today! I started off with five stops to do, but two of them had to reschedule and so I only worked two and a half hours on actual work. When I got back to the office (which is my bosses house, it’s a small business), he looks up and says, “oh you’re back! Well I have some stuff to do around here that you can help me with.”
As it turned out, that “stuff” he needed help doing around there was getting his brand new 65” TV out of the packaging, put together and set up. I asked him where he got it and he responded telling me he got it at Best Buy and that it had been $1000 off the original price. “It was such a great deal I couldn’t pass it up!”
It’s not like there was anything wrong with his old TV, I guess he is just really susceptible to salesman pitching good “deals” at him, lol.
Anyways, after I finished helping him set up that huge new TV, I was off work before noon. I had an early start so that’s mostly why, but it was kind of nice to be done with work so early in the day. Taking advantage of the opportunity, I went out to eat with my good friend which I wrote about earlier. We had a good time and it was nice to catch up a little bit over a meal in a nice relaxing environment.
Tomorrow I don’t have to go in to work until noon because this is the slow season so my work schedule becomes a little erratic but that’s okay, it means I can sleep in! I don’t really get a lot of extra rest when I sleep in, because I’ll probably end up waking up earlyish anyways naturally, but with no alarm it’s so much more agreeable and enjoyable and sets me off for a good day ahead!
