My Brothers New Place

My brother finally was able to move into his new house! He and his family have been waiting a long time. At first when they moved out of their old house back in October, they were told the House would most likely be ready to move in before thanksgiving day.

Obviously, that didn’t happen. But the move on date kept being pushed forward more and more times. My brother and his wife were getting so frustrated because while they were waiting, the moved in with my grandma who’s house happens to be right down the road.

So every day they would pass by their “new house” and wonder if they would ever actually be able to move in. After a while they started to feel like the landlord was playing games with them. They thought about just forgetting it and looking for another hour to move into.

Of course, when I say “new house” I mean new to them. It’s actually an old farm house that was kind of like a time capsule. The previous owner who was the farmer that created the little farm there. He actually died in the home and it sat empty as it was for years and years after he passed on.

Because of this, a lot of the old stuff in the home was left behind. There’s this cool den/lodge room with lots of taxidermy on the walls. Along with the hunting trophies lining the walls, there’s also a large fireplace that completes the mountain lodge feel of the room.
