Recap Friday: Part One - Frustrated!

Normally when I work, I work alone. And for the first part of the day on Friday, I did.

But then it came time to assist my coworker, who is my bosses son in law. My bosses nickname for him is Jabba, and that is what I will be calling him here as well. He’s called Jabba for obvious reasons: he’s a rather large individual. He’s also kind of lazy.

For starters, he was supposed to be at the office to prepare and get all packed up around 12:30. Of course he didn’t arrive for a good hour later.

Finally we got to the work site, and I got to work drilling holes into concrete, and digging shallow ditches. Coming along after me, Jabba puts his hose down the holes to pump in the poison to kill termites. He does this while sitting on a wheeled stool to insure minimal effort.

All this takes a lot of time and (for me) a lot of effort. Well, as soon as five thirty rolls around and he had finished with his part, he comes up to me to tell me that he’s going home and for me to finish up and that he would check up on me later. Before I had processed what he just said, he was gone!

There was still a lot of work left to do, and he just left me there, with less and less daylight. I was so angry, because I wanted to go home too! My plans and wishes weren’t important at all apparently!

The one nice part of the work day was enjoying this tasty tasty burger! Still though, I was furious at the end of the day.

When I finally got back to the office later, my bosses wife told me to make a mark on my time card so she could add a couple hours for having to put up with Jabbas antics. Fair enough!
