Thrilling Thursday | Windows Tinted, Tree Through Car, Foot Powered Toilet?

A palm tree growing through a beetle. If that isn’t great art, I don’t know what is! It was so astounding to me, I had to turn around and drive back by to make sure it was truly what I thought I saw.

After the Palm bug sighting, I saw another thing that caught my eye. A few months ago the back window of my car got smashed when somebody tried to break into my car. When I got the glass replaced, it was just regular old plain clear glass and not tinted like the previous one.

So I look over to the side and I see a little sign in the grass. “2 Front Windows Tinted $40”. I made a mental note of it since I was in my work truck and went about the rest of my work day. When I got off, I went to get my car washed since it was dirty, got a drink from sonic since my blood sugar was feeling a little low, and then headed over to the window tinting place.

When I arrived I noticed another sign that said “Back 3 windows $99”. I needed the back window tinted, and I had been thinking of getting my two front windows tinted as well, so I went inside to ask about it. The nice lady told me she could do the back and the two front for $80, and that it would only take about an hour. So I pulled my car into the garage and took a seat.

True to her word, she was done in an hour and the windows look great! Now I feel like I have my old car back and the tintless back window is no longer reminding me of that cracked up window incident.

Another fun thing I came across today was this toilet with a foot peddle to flush it. Why aren’t these everywhere??? Everyone always uses their foot to flush in public bathrooms anyways, at least this way you don’t have to awkwardly lift your leg up to kick the lever...
