Toil Tuesday | Rain, Work, & Reunion

I didn’t really take many photos today. It was kind of a long work day, with most of it spent working on new construction homes.

Normally I do 1-3 of those, but today it was five in a row. I wear a heavy backpack for this work, and wearing it for two and a half hours straight was quite tiring.

Recently I’ve been taking a new herb called butchers broom, and it’s been helping a lot with some circulation issues in my legs and eyes. I’m hoping tomorrow to not have as much soreness and pain that’s typical after doing such heavy work.

Earlier in the workday, I was doing my normal work, and it was nice to see a familiar face. An old client who had discontinued service almost a year ago resumed service today. Even though it’s a professional relationship, it felt like meeting an old friend. It was also sad to hear of his daughters passing from cancer a few months ago...

All in all, today was pretty smooth. It also finally rained this evening, when I thought that the scant few minutes or light rain this afternoon was all the moisture we would see today. I was wrong! I always love the rain, and it was nice for it to come when I was relaxing after work on the balcony with some hot simple cabbage soup.
