Weird Wednesday | Big Tip, Pedigree Dogs & Was That An Alien Baby?!?

They call it “haze”, but really it’s just smoke from the fires. It’s been like this for a few days now, and driving around town really highlights the dirtiness of the air.

It was while I was driving around town today when I saw it. I had stopped at a light and looked over to my right where a woman was standing with a stroller in front of her.

At first it seemed pretty mundane until I caught a glimpse of the baby. Two bright green electric lights for eyes were peering out at me... I had to roll the window down and take my sunglasses off to make sure it wasn’t some kind of strange glare. It wasn’t.

The light turned green before I could do anything like take a picture, and all I could do was say “what was that?!?!?”

Seriously, what did I see? If anyone else has seen anything like this, PLEASE let me know, I’m very curious to know what was going on there! As far as I can tell, it could have been anything, be it some kind of strange doll, a robot, or an alien...

Anyways, I was chatting with this woman who’s dog had just had eight wolf hybrid puppies. We got to talking and she was telling me about her bulldog that she is thinking of breeding too, but that she’s going to hold off for now because the male Merle bulldog in San Diego she is interested would cost $20,000!

I was so shocked that a dog could cost that much! I’ve heard of people paying four figures for a dog before but not five! She also said that it was more likely that she would pay the $5,000 for stud service from the dog in San Diego and then sell the puppies for $2-3K each. I think I’m in the wrong business, lol!

I can’t really complain though, since I got a very generous tip today! I’ve been working this job for a couple years now, and it’s rare when I get a tip. Even when I do get a tip, it’s almost always $5 for “lunch” (I guess I look hungry). Needless to say, I was shocked! This will be going in my emergency cash stash for sure...
