Playas Venezolanas, aguas tibias, aventuras entre amigos y viajes a granel, son algunas de las características que irradian mi hermoso país. Quiero compartir lo mejor con todos y cada uno de ustedes. A partir de hoy nacen las "Micro Experiencias de Viajes".

Venezuelan beaches, warm waters, adventures among friends and lots of trips, are some of the characteristics that exist in my beautiful country. I want to share the best with each and every one of you. From this day on, while expanding my profile "Micro Travel Experiences" has born.

He pasado un domingo excelente en compañía de fabulosos amigos y personas que estamos "haciendo las cosas diferentes". Muy a pesar de la situación que estamos viviendo, nosotros y miles de venezolanos más, decimos "Si se puede disfrutar y si se puede trabajar".

I have spent an excellent Sunday in the company of fabulous friends and people who are "doing things in a different way". Very much in spite of the situation that we are living, we and thousands of Venezuelans more, we say "Yes we can enjoy and Yes we can work".

Sin ánimos de sonar muy "político en campaña electoral", luego de este hermoso día domingo puedo decir que esa frase, quedó en mi cabeza. Pude compartir con los profesionales de viajes y turismo de Tour Azul. Son personas muy responsables que organizaron el viaje a la playa, de la mejor manera posible. Without sounding very like "politics in election campaigns", after this beautiful Sunday I can say that phrase is in my head. I was able to share with Tour Azul, travel and tourism professionals. Empezamos muy temprano del día domingo. La idea era empezar el viaje desde la catedral de Barquisimeto, y así fue. Tomamos dos autobuses y partimos a eso de las 6:20 a.m. con destino al pueblo de Boca de Aroa. Al llegar al pueblo, hicimos una breve parada para desayunar y armar "provisiones". Minutos mas tarde estábamos tomando una lancha, para emprender la travesía, a través de los manglares y las islas del parque.

We started very early on Sunday. The idea was to start the trip from the cathedral of Barquisimeto, and so it was. We took two buses and left at about 6:20 a.m. with destination to the town of Boca de Aroa. When we arrived in the village, we made a brief stop to have breakfast and make ourselves with some "provisions". Minutes later we were taking a boat, to embark on the journey, through the mangroves and the islands within the park.

Es una gran experiencia navegar en bote. El destino final era Cayo Sombrero. Es uno de los más alejados y más hermosos. Una isla de arena muy clara y aguas cristalinas que enamoran a cualquiera. Las aguas se mantienen, todo el año, a una temperatura ideal. Es un lugar exquisito para los amantes de la naturaleza "playera". Una vez instalados en nuestro espacio, me dirigí al agua sin pensarlo. Tenía más de 5 años sin tocar aguas venezolanas.

It's a great sealing experience. The final destination was Cayo Sombrero. It is one of the most remote and beautiful. An island of very clear sand and crystalline waters that makes fall in love with to anyone. The waters are maintained, all year round, at an ideal temperature. It is an exquisite place for nature lovers. Once installed in our space, I went to the water without thinking. I had more than 5 years without touching Venezuelan waters.

Vacaciones. Deberíamos hacer de la vida una constante vacación. ¿Has notado como se disfruta cuando estás de vacaciones?. Literalmente me "fundí" en las aguas cálidas del parque y no quería salir. Entre risas, anécdotas, el compartir de la comida y un clima genial, pasamos el día.

Holidays. We should make life a constant holiday. Have you noticed how you enjoy yourself when you are on holidays?. I literally "faded myself" into the warm waters of the park and did not want to leave. Between laughter, anecdotes, sharing of food and a great climate, we spent our day.

Ya luego de muchas horas cuando eran las 4:30 p.m. nos tocaba regresar de nuevo al bote. Mi cuerpo portando la sal y el agua marina. Mi mente rebosando vida y creatividad. Un poco cansado y muy relajado debo confesar. Nos dirigimos de regreso al bote para emprender el viaje de regreso entre manglares e islas, al puerto de Tucacas.

After many hours when it was around 4:30 p.m. It was our time to return to the boat. My body carrying salt and seawater. My mind overflowing with life and creativity. A little tired and very relaxed I must confess. We headed back to the boat to start our journey back between mangroves and islands, to the port of Tucacas.

Siempre que desees puedes hacer este viaje de dos maneras:

• Contratar un servicio profesional como Tour Azul. Aquí podrás dejar que ellos se encarguen de muchos detalles y pormenores.
• Viajar tipo mochilero e ir cubriendo los pormenores por ti mismo.

Whenever you wish you can do this trip in two ways:

• Hire a professional service like Blue Tour. With this option you can let them take care of many details.
• Travelling like a backpacker and covering the details by yourself.

En ambas opciones puedes viajar solo o acompañado. Todo depende de cómo te guste más. Mis recomendaciones generales para cuando viajes, con cualquiera de las opciones mencionadas son:

• Llevar efectivo es un plus muy necesario. Siempre que puedas, arma una cantidad de efectivo que utilizarás para gastos.
• Lleva contigo al menos una tarjeta de débito y un dispositivo para realizar transferencias bancarias. Algunas veces sucede que las comunicaciones se hacen difíciles y necesitamos contar con opciones para pagar los gastos.
• Planifica con antelación y, vía telefónica, agenda el paseo el lancha o bote, hasta el cayo (isla) que deseas visitar.
• No te preocupes por la comida. Si dispones de dinero suficiente, puedes comprar todo en cada isla. Algunas cosas pueden salir más económicas en el pueblo de Tucacas (como por ejemplo el licor). De resto, tienes un sinfín de opciones. Actualmente en cada isla poseen sistemas inalámbricos de "puntos de venta" para tarjetas de débito. No te miento si te digo que hasta los vendedores de helados, poseen sus cuentas de bancos y puntos de venta. Dentro de las comidas pueden encontrar variedad.
• En algunas islas o cayos, puedes disfrutar el llevar a cabo la práctica del snorkeling. Os aconsejo que, si viajas por tu cuenta, lleves contigo tu equipo de careta, respirador y chapaletas.
• Viaja ligero, abierto a los caminos y a los cambios. Disfruta del viaje porque es, "lo mas importante del paisaje".

In both options you can travel alone or accompanied. It all depends on how you like it most. My general recommendations when traveling, with any of the options mentioned are:

• Carrying cash is needed. Whenever possible, set up an amount of cash you will use for expenses.
• Take with you at least one debit card and a device to make bank transfers using internet. Sometimes it happens that communication becomes difficult and we need to have options to pay the expenses.
• Plan in advance and, by telephone, schedule the boat or boat trip, to the cayo (island) you wish to visit.
• Do not worry about the food. If you have enough money, you can buy everything on each island. Some things can be cheaper in the town of Tucacas (such as liquor). Besides, you have endless options. Currently on each island they have wireless "point of sale" systems for debit cards. I do not lie to you if I tell you that even ice cream vendors own their bank accounts and "wireless selling points". Inside each island, you can find variety of meals.
• In some islands, you can enjoy practicing snorkeling. I advise that if you travel on your own, take your own equipment with you.
• Travel light, open yourself to roads and changes. Enjoy the trip because it is, "the most important thing on the landscape".
• While coming from overseas contact first a local guide. Avoid extra "troubles" dealing with dollars and euros.
