Life In Vegas #1: What Is It Like To Live In Las Vegas? (Secret App YOU MUST HAVE if you live here!)

When people think of Vegas, they think of fast paced partying, casinos, drinking until you don't remember who you are, night clubs, hookers, and other insidious dark sides of life. After all, it is the 'city of sin'.

My husband and I go to all sorts of awesome seminars. We are sort of seminar junkies. We just love personal growth, so, we soak it up when ever we get a chance via books, speakers, seminars, or close author friends of ours. We were actually at a seminar over a year ago in San Diego, and the next seminar was going to be in Vegas. We had a friend of ours there actually tell us that she refused to go because she was protesting the location. Jamie and I looked at her a bit befuddled, because we couldn't understand why. And she whispered, 'It's the city of SIN'. Well, our silent thought was, well, don't sin then. Just don't participate.

For my husband and I, it's pretty cut and dry. We are into health, fitness, personal growth, and learning as much as we can about all sorts of different topics. Continuing our education in certifications, and in life. We don't drink, we don't smoke, we aren't tempted to go out to night clubs, so, none of it here is tempting to us. We prefer to get out of bed with a kick in our step and head off to a heavy duty workout.

So, living in Vegas. IT'S AWESOME!! We love living here. Our view is unbelievable!! It's so gorgeous here! I mean, truly. We love watching the sunset, and the sunrise here. The colors in the sky are incredible!

The other thing is, it's actually pretty quiet! We don't really hear our neighbors, and for the most part, it's really peaceful. Also, there is so much at your fingertips! All the great health food stores are here, as well as some great natural doctors. The community here is pretty amazing too!

The other thing my husband and I love to do is to go to the shows! The Vegas shows are AWESOME!! So, there is an app called 'fillaseat' and if you have a Nevada ID card, you can go to the shows for free. YES........... FOR FREE!! You can get two tickets to shows last minute, because they assume that the people that live here are not their target market. At the same time, when tourists come, they want to make sure the seats are filled. So, you can get 2 free tickets to different shows. You can only go to one show a day. But, we've seen some great shows! We've also seen some really bad ones! But, I'll leave that to a different post. Let's just say, my husband was about to kill me for dragging him to this one show, because I volunteered us to go up on stage and be a part of it. He was ready to KILL ME on that one!! We actually went to see Murray the Magician. That was a really fun show! Very entertaining. I haven't been able to talk my husband into going to see Chippendales with me! So, if ever wanted to see that show, and you are in town, let me know! I have an extra ticket! LOL!

So, our life in Vegas (when we are home) is pretty awesome. It's pretty routine. We get up early, hit the gym, we swim or hit the hot tub, and occasionally, we go see a show.

We are doing Christmas at different families places all through January, so, we spent Christmas today taking it easy!! Hanging in the hot tub with a Starbucks tea! My favorite!! :).
