That's a good one. I haven't sat down to watch a movie in a nice environment in years, so I'd enjoy that.

Honest, tho, I'd continue to do what I do now, minus the traveling. (I'm a professional photographer, so I am away from home too often). Don't get me wrong, I love travel. But I'd also rather be at home with my kids right now. Traveling can resume when they get older, ideally old enough to travel with me. So if I had unlimited funds, I'd live basically the same. A bigger house perhaps, not for me but for my kids, and less travel, but otherwise I enjoy everything I do now and wouldn't stop it just because I had more money. Tho as to your last point, I would enjoy learning to cook (instead of just hiring one full time). There is something artistic about cooking well that appeals to me. So I suppose maybe I'd cut down my other activities enough to add in cooking training.

Oh yeah, I'd buy more Steem too. duh

That is a small desire you have. You can easily make that happen without a pile of cash. You can even do the work yourself its not that complicated to build.

Me I have big dreams of helping others. My hope is to be able to have many organic farms training others to stop using pesticides and agrochemicals to grow food.
Then my second dream is to help kids that dont have a great dad like you. To protect them from the predators that prey on them daily in our world. If I could accomplish those two things then I will have accomplished living my dreams.
I would love to have that Mountain home.
Far away from everyone, off grid, small but enough.
Only the sounds of nature and my children playing would be the sounds I hear.

I've been so frustrated with work and lack of money lately, I really need to answer this question and keep it crystal clear in my mind.

I would work in the dojo I own and have been trying to build, with all of the intrinsic reward that comes from practicing and teaching the martial art that I love and none of the anxiety that comes from having to work a second job and barely pay the bills.

I would pay our chief instructor enough so she didn't have to work elsewhere, and pay an assistant or office manager as well. Not surprisingly, if I had enough money to do this for even six months, I'd be much more likely to build the business into something that actually could support us than the current condition of trying to build a business while earning money elsewhere.

I would want enough students that we could train new teachers, and I'd like to live much closer to the dojo. I don't even care if I work the same amount, if I could sometimes involve my family in our activities instead of leaving then behind to drive 40 miles away.

If I didn't have to work, I would plan more fun activities for our dojo community.

So what am I doing every day to make this real? Lately, just treading water it seems. I started working more which seems like moving away from my goal, but it gives me a chance to save some money, at least.

Restructured the kids classes at my dojo to better serve a wider range of families. So far so good.

But it's sooo tempting to blow off hours at my job just to keep up with all my demands, and hard for me to be proactive with budget, bookkeeping, marketing etc when I'm constantly switching my focus from job to job.

Woodworking. I would be renovating furniture and giving it to good homes. Odds are I would still be helping out Utopian and Steem in my free time. I like the community here.

There are whole programmes about this in the UK.

It actually looks quite good fun.

You can also make quite a lot of money out of it - if you wear dungerees and a flat cap, target hipsters as your market and call the whole process 'upcycling'.

Whole Programmes?! Gimme links. Is it on Netflix? Can I get it by Torrent? I want to learn!!!

As for money - oh yeah. I've seen some awful shit sold for crazy sums of money. Just Google "Shabby Chic" and look at those prices. Hundreds of dollar for pieces that look like they've seen some awful things. But the question was what I would do if I didn't need to work. I find woodworking relaxes me, and renovating a piece of trash I found on the street into something presentable makes me feel very accomplished. I doubt I'll try to sell my pieces (I name them) but I might give them away to good homes, like I said.

My first finished project is Elizabeth, a simple side table my husband found on the street corner. She was originally white, filthy and had a broken leg. Now she's blush pink with hot pink decorations and eyeshadow (yes, I woodwork with makeup).

Gosh, now I feel like writing a post about it!

'Money for nothing' is on iplayer...

Sounds very steemit - an upcycling series I say for it.

Hopefully you took some pre and post pictures of Elizabeth...?

Of course I did! After I get back from Italy, there's Rupert and then spoiled little Fergie with all her complex curves and decorations.

I thought you might have.. it kind of goes with the upcycling territory.

I might have to get into it myself - I'm moving into a new house hopefully next week which is too small to take some of my current furniture.

Better get busy in the thrift stores!

I would travel the world. Every corner of the globe...
I want to meet new cultures...new people...new places...
Is there anything better than having free time and not being forced to work in order to live and just travel?

If I have a lot of money that's make me no longer to work, I will use it for making a small private library, build a small 🏫 school and taking many courses that I want. ☺️

I would be doing pretty much exactly what I am doing now — writing, photography, creating art — except without the burden of perpetually living at the edge of poverty, wondering where the money to pay the next electric bill is going to come from.

On a grander scale, we'd create the spiritual retreat center and educational foundation we've been visualizing for a couple of decades.

Are you doing something every day to make this a reality?

Work a little at it, every day, but being mostly in fields people really love and want yet don't want to pay for has made it a long slow process. But we'll get there, eventually!

=^..^=

Great question.

I actually did just quit work - a 16 yr career in teaching

Now I just about earn enough money from blogging about sociology.

I think even if I won the lottery I'd still blog in an educational context.

I actually quite enjoy developing educational content, just not the teaching and results pressure.

I think I'm quite lucky to be able to make just about enough money out if it to survive!

That'd be a nice timing to rewatch Firefly.

I am not actually sure myself what I would do with my time.

I can’t wait for season 2

Not sure if joking, but that's evil if so. :(

I have enough money to quit working.. I'm going to blog on Steemit full time

Probably the same things I do now, but without the severe anxiety and depression. I'd love to own every ps1 game and some other stuffs, but really just not having to have heart attacks on a daily basis would be sick

I honestly cannot see myself away from the financial markets so I would stay involved maybe as a whale to move markets and support great projects. However, I would spend the rest of my time improving my family and my health, education and experiences. So much time spent today with wanting to get to that point that we forget that these are the important matters in life. It gives perspective so thanks for asking the question!

Yep, traveling. Explore all corners of the world, learn as many languages as possible. And: make music. Learn and play as many instruments as I could get.

I would head up to Alaska and live off the land

Have you ever been to Alaska? Its a tough life there but doable.
I have lots of family there. Spent 3 years there Fishing playing in the snow and Flying to unknown locations to catch that special fish. My Great Uncle was a famous guide there. He owned three airplanes was a pretty awesome guy.

I have never been No, It is my dream to go there though. I do a lot of hiking out in the wildenrness and would love a quite life like that.

I would still work on technology to make life better. But I would definetly travel around the world. I would do the things I had always planned jeez that would be nice

I would tour the world around country by country.....state by state...and visit orphanages and retirement homes...

I try to answer right now 😀

Big car 🚗
Big yacht 🛥
Perhaps with a heli pad 🚁

Then I would fly ✈️ with my buddys to Vegas 🎰 and make party 🍺 eat the biggest steaks 🥩 and have fun 👯‍♀️!

... my parents would also get some because i am who I am because of them 👪 :-)

And a big house would be also very good 😇

My first answer would be "what I did today," but that's not sufficient.
@remind.bot 1 day

Does that work? I was going to make me a remindme bot

I've only used it once a few months ago, but it did just what I asked. I'll tell you tomorrow I guess!

It work?

No, but there were extenuating circumstances. Lemme check:
@remind.bot 5 minutes

Nope, I guess that remindbot is dead.
Need a new one! Long live remindbot!

I would help the most needy, because I do not share the idea of happiness for one misfortune for another.

I would move out of this hell hole of a country first and look for somewhere spectacular and safe at the same time. I have simple tastes so wouldn't go and buy flash things. I don't think I would anyway.

natural.
i like this photo ... beautiful view.

First of all I would get a private jet so that I can travel anywhere anytime. Then I would get some holiday properties in mountains and close to the sea and I would throw parties all over the world.. and I would be doing a lot of charitable work.. you know, charity during the day, parties in the evenings :)

Id buy a big car and double park preferably in handicapped spots. Bribe politicians. Cut the line in the bank every month preferably when retirees go get their pension on monday.
Id buy referees so my favorite football team always wins. Buy a bunch of steem and flag curie voted posts.
Id buy CNN and report on Kim Kardashian all day.
McDonalds id buy as well.. Change all hamburgers to have rice cakes instead of meat.

I think i could find a few things to fill my day. 😂

Good question - first things coming to my mind are buying, leading a trance music club and DJ every night! Must be on an island - Ibiza probably. And a must of course lol a small !popcorn factory

Maybe tomorrow I have some other ideas for that.

I would be at a racetrack somewhere

Living on a piece of property without neighbors sitting on top of me, I'd have a house built with one bedrooms on top with the windows going around on all four sides so I could see the stars at night and watch thunder and lighting crack across the sky in the darkness. It would have a built in swimming pool and a four season porch where I could sit and blog my heart out with no neighbors to stare back at me. I would also travel places.

@themarkymark I would be traveling the world. Surprisingly, I have never left the United States and would like to see what else the world has to offer!

I would be jetsetting around the world, helping people where I could.

I think I would just constantly be traveling. Visiting friends and family, seeing the world, going on adventures. But I'll think about it for a couple days and be back to update my answer :D

!popcorn !pancakes :)
