Hello steemits, I bring you this post because many people forget to eat because they get distracted, whether it's work, school or other things. Among those people is me.

What if we forget to eat?

Missing a meal can cause us very bad times, because it causes several alterations in the body to become frequent in our daily lives. If we ask ourselves, who is it that suffers? There is no other than our body. That's why it's not enough to eat healthy, you also have to respect the schedule to do it.

When we do not eat at the usual time, the stomach secretes substances that alter its normal functioning and increases the intestinal movement that, at the same time, cause inflammation and pain, hence the stomach pains. These pains are nothing more than discomfort in the upper abdomen, giving orientation not only to the stomach but also to the organs and viscera of the digestive system. Respecting meal times is of vital importance for our well-being.

The most common symptoms that can occur are:

  • abdominal pain

  • Nausea and belching.

  • Food intolerance.

  • Intense cramping, flatulence.

  • Diarrhea and/or vomiting.

  • Heaviness after eating the food.

Consequences

As this forgetfulness becomes frequent, there are consequences of a delicate nature such as:

  • Gastritis: It is an inflammation of the stomach mucosa that causes inflammation and problems digesting, being its main cause the ingestion of the meals without schedule.

  • Metabolic disorders: These can be verified in the person's weight, either causing weight loss or gain.

  • Ulcers.

  • vitamin deficiencies

  • Constipation.

  • Cancer.

How to avoid it?

If, for some reason, we cannot eat at the time we are used to, we should at least eat some snacks and drink water. However, what is appropriate is to eat every three hours, this is achieved by consuming the main meals and snacks at mid-morning and mid-afternoon, so that our body will have the necessary energy to perform any activity.

All this leads us to reflect on the importance of the changes in eating times to which we subject our bodies, regardless of the subsequent damage that this may cause. So "I forgot to eat" is not an excuse for pain.

Good explanation by you "if we forget to eat" but the question is that if we forget to eat then our biological cycle would remind us naturally to take food and in that scenario we get attracted to food because of that kind of signals given by our body. But if you forcefully decided to remain in fast or not take food then these are the consequences in our body. Nice to read your article. Thank you.

It is important to note that our bodies to undergo schedule losses brings us several consequences as all these symptoms, but that if the body takes the energy or nutrients in reserve in it to compensate for the lack of intake.
