You Deny Your Craving For Fame

Nothing is better than what you do not have. When we find what we want, we put in on a pedestal. It glares at us from afar with its bright halo, while the iconic ‘Hallelujah’ plays in the background. We cannot stop thinking about it. Picturing how our life will change once it is ours. Imagining the paparazzi finding a sudden interest in us as a result. That is secretly how we want it to play out. We want to be the next big thing. Even if it is just five minutes of fame. Who are we kidding? We would be satisfied with five seconds. All eyes on us. That is what we want. Even those who pretend they want to fly under the radar. There is something for which they want to be renowned. We feed off attention. No amount of smashed avocado or roast chicken will satisfy this hunger.
