Thanks for sharing so many great tips! I've heard a few of these before, but you definitely gave me some new things to think about. I don't know that I've really paid attention to how my Instagram account tells a cohesive story, and sometimes I get stressed thinking I don't post nearly enough. I agree that quality trumps quantity. It's a relief to have someone else who has had great success remind you of that. And in the end it always comes down to relationships, right? Looking forward to seeing more of your posts, and now off to Instagram to check out your account over there. :)

I love your colour schemes, the blues and the purples! Great idea! And everything looks soooo yummy.
I've been trying to grow my IG followers doing my little photography project for about a year and a half now, and just scratching my head wondering why it's going so slowly. I'm doing something that other people aren't doing (I found one girl who does something similar, and two girls I would put in my 'category', but that's about it) and people seem to enjoy it, but somehow while these girls have 30k and 220k followers... I'm still at 6k :-/ I'm not trying to promote here, but I'm wondering if you might see something I can improve upon? @kendal_in_wonderland

Hi Kendal, thanks a lot! I tend to edit alot of my food photos with a cooler tone. Are you saying the other girls in your lane have much more followers than you? Just checked your photos and i think its a brilliant idea. Your idea of re-creation is very unique, i have not crossed anything similar on instagram. It would possibly help me seeing these other accounts you're talking about. Im also new here, welcome to the platform!

good questions. takes time coming up with ideas the grocery shopping and then of course kitchen time. by the time i finish cooking setting up my shoot and photographing id say 3 hours is an average. then the editing time for me is quicker since i have my workflow down to a T. 3-4 hours per post is about ideal for me these days. thats why sometimes i like to just photograph produce, its much quicker!

Thanks, this helps me get a better grasp on what I want to do. The difficult part will be picking a subject, so far I am thinking spiritualism, sharing documentations of old testing the spirits stuff!
