Stuffing myself with chocolate...

in life •  21 hours ago

So, I had a fairly good day until recently, when I suddenly had a troublesome chat with a kid, and then another thing happened that was really unfortunate, and now I am in a bad mood and ended up eating quite a lot of chocolate. Of course, that should make me happy with all that endorfin, but then you also have the other side of the subject, when you start feeling bad because you stuffed yourself with chocolate.

It was very different in Pauls letter to the Romans in which he wrote: "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?"

He might have had other struggles, but still, it was a struggle living in the body he had, because he was strangled and pushed from so many directions, and it was hard doing the right thing, and if he did the wrong that was bad, but still, he didn't manage to do the right thing, even though he knew what would be right.

So, well... Paul has gone before us, we are not alone. And Jesus was tested in everything, though without sin... so he is our ultimate example!

The unpleasantness in life caused the author to fall into a low mood, which resonated with people through Paul's words and he found comfort with the guidance of Jesus. This transition from daily life to religious thinking is delicate and real, reminding us that faith can become our spiritual sustenance in difficult situations, helping us to regain our strength and move forward firmly.
