Getting some ‘me’ time

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Penguins are highly social creatures with 1,000’s of them on a tiny unfrozen section of land to breed. To successfully breed they need this highly congregated social event, which can be described as a soap opera to say the least. That and they are just too cute for words...

However, no matter how many there are I always tend to see just one animal on its own just standing and staring into space. It does remind me that every once in a while we all need a small break and some ‘me’ time, regardless of how social and busy with life we can be at times. Taking a brief moment to stop, breathe and simply be present in that moment.

The penguin is rethinking his life :)

I love pinguins! I want to go to Cape Town just to see them. Great post!

Thank you! they are quite the funny yet adorable animals to hang out with. If you can I would highly recommend heading to Antarctica - you won't regret it ;)

Guauu, but Antartica is really cold! I will not survive there, but thanks for tell me.I am from Spain and I need hot places.

haha. you will survive. You will also regret if you never go - live outside your comfort zone. That and bring lots of layers 😜

Wonderfull !!!

Your photographybis stunning and awesome sir🙂This penguin is cute as the penguin named skipper from Penguins of Madagascar. They are the most loyal birds I think.

Thanks! They are known to be loyal to their partner, which is kind of true but also not true at all... Not as monogamous as we first thought years ago

Yeah true, we all need some alone time. It helps a lot to relax and settle our thoughts. Gosh, I really dreamed to a see a penguin for real especially Emperor Penguins. The life cycle of Emperor Penguins really amazes me, in the wild, from the time the mother lay her eggs, father Penguin takes his turn keeping them warm until the eggs are hatched while mother Penguin is away to look for food. They're very smart animals too. Just imagine how baby Penguins recognize their parents even almost all Penguins looks the same. =)

Emperor penguins are really remarkable how they have adapted to breed in such insanely extreme conditions. I wouldn't say they are overly smart. sadly I have encountered them many, many times and they don't seem to scream intelligence. However, thy are able to recognize one another through their calls/sound. They can hear the distinct noise that makes them an individual. They are unable to recognize one another via sight and rely on their calls to find one another :)
