It’s hard to decide whether or not my life has a grand plan. Growing up, I’d move from project to project, interest to interest. For months at a time, I’d work on carving a miniature guitar out of wood, and the next I’d be making electronic music on my computer, then I’d be learning how to use automated CNC machines, and after I’d be making my own computer game from scratch, and then I’d be working on photorealistic animal portraits, and recently at Harvard I’ve even delved into the cryptocurrency field.

It’s often unclear, even to me, what my next move in life will be. What’s clear, though, is my love for art, music, comedy, computers, people, and projects. These interests manifest in strange ways and take me down strange roads, but what never changes is my naïve passion for starting up unconventional projects, stumbling through to its completion, and then hungrily looking for what’s next.

So what’s next after college? For me, it could be working as an animator/illustrator for a game or movie production studio. It could be doing brand development for an up-and-coming tech startup in its infancy stage. It could be starting up my own online brand and content while monetizing it through ads and merchandise sales. With these options and many more in mind, it’s important for me to stay flexible and open to new paths that may come up. If there’s anything that I’ve learned in my short 20 years, it’s the importance of being confident in who you are and what you love while still being adaptable to what life throws your direction and the different forms in which happiness may manifest. So there is no grand plan, except to not have a plan. And this doesn’t scare me one bit.
