For years, you searched for this answer, but had no clue.
But there is a reason why, my friend.
And it's time that you learn the why, so you can understand the psychology of a snake.

Not quite.
Haters make their distaste towards you apparent.
Snakes make their distaste towards you in apparent.
Haters often hate on people due to status.
Have you ever seen someone hate on a loser?
Doubt it.
Unless they are a very mean person. But if that's the case, then they just hate everyone in general.
More often than not, winners are the ones that are hated.
Winners are people who are leveling up & have generated more attention.
And with the attention, they get love & hate.
However, with snakes, it's a little bit more ambiguous.
I've seen losers, winners & everyone in the middle get back stabbed before.
'Any idea why?'
Yes. It's due to being in the middle ground of 2 major emotions.
Fear and Anger.
You always have to find the why behind the what.
Haters operate with anger.
They are angry that you are succeeding. That is the what.
But they are angry because your success reminds them of their failures. That is the why.
A snake falls in between anger AND fear.
By the way, I'm talking about someone who you were blindsided by. Not the person who talks shit about everyone.
This is the person who you shared a lot of memories with, but they turned their back on you..
Something made them angry.
Maybe on a conscious or subconscious level.
You probably told them to shutup in front of a bunch of people. Conscious.
Your success reminded them of their failures. Subconscious.
'So why didn't they just say what was bothering them?'
Because of fear.
They possibly feared you as a person or feared the consequences of being blunt.
Fear of person: you are probably a higher authority to them.
Fear the consequences: they hate confrontation & it makes them uncomfortable.
And by being stuck between the anger & fear, the snake is born.
The anger causes them to stab you in the back.
The fear causes them to do so in silence.
In many ways, the snake makes you admire a hater.
At least the hater is honest with their feelings regarding you.
You know they don't like you, so you can gently remove them from your sight.
But with the snake?
Very different.
They wear masks.
Always stay alert.
This is one of the few reasons I say you can't fully trust a 'nice guy.'
They feel anger like any other human.
But they are too fearful to be their authentic self.
If they can't be real with themselves, then in many cases, they can't even be real with you.
Understand that.
Now you understand how back stabbings work.
It is born from middle ground territory of anger & fear.
Learn from you past betrayals as it will give you more wisdom than a book ever will.
The snake is just one of the many characters in the world of social dynamics.
