They don't hate your success. They don't hate you.
They hate the feeling they get watching you try and succeed while they don't even have the courage to try.
People seriously have no problem listening to actors talk about politics.
1% income earners who live in a part of the richest nation on earth. They aren't affected by a thing that most people deal with.
Auto-save will maintain your sanity.
Everyone has their place in the world.
Unfortunately, sometimes that place is directly in the way of progress.
When people know what pisses you off, don't expect them to never use it.
On the contrary, now they know exactly where to stick the dagger.
Never let that weakness show.
Admitting that you're wrong on the internet is a super power.
You get no support until you make it. Once you've made it, you don't need their support.
People are tribal herd sheep creatures. This is why most never step out.
When you go out of your way to tell me you don't care, your actions have already betrayed you.
Either you believe that someone is coming to save you OR you're in this thing all alone.
All political, social, and economic ideologies come down to this.
Mindset is useless without action to demonstrate and support it.
Action alone can affect the world, sometimes in a drastically different manner than intended.
What you do is FAR more meaningful than what you think about doing.
For better or worse, I'll never be able to sell things I don't use or believe in.
With my influence and reach, I'm sure I'm leaving money on the table. But to me, that's dirty money.
At least it's dirty until I clean it with skin in the game.
You'll never be useful to anyone if you aren't happy with yourself.
Everything you try to grow from shitty roots will never take hold and eventually erode.
With it, your soul will go as well.
Focus on improving, happiness takes care of itself.
Focus on happiness, you might get hooked on the illusion of it.
You're wasting time and missing out on happiness if you aren't doing what you're good at.
Unfortunately, you only discover what that is after doing shit you're bad at.
Fixing unhappiness requires tough decisions and personal objectivity.
Those qualities are rare. As a result, so is personal happiness.
Sometimes you feel grateful for the smallest things.
A lot of people don't have health or freedom.
Think about how awesome it is if you do.
A random act of anonymous kindness does wonders for your self-confidence.
Every time I achieve a milestone, I think about where I'd be if I hadn't started working on it and it was still just a thought.
It's in a company's best interest to extract as much labor out of you as possible while paying you just enough to keep you from quitting.
Single, married, dating or whatever.
You're never out of the game. You're just playing for a different team. Plan accordingly or lose.
The difference between a good reason and an excuse:
Could you have made it happen if your life was on the line? If so, then it's an excuse.
You will grow when you lose the desire to impress and only care about achievement.
Until then, you're stunted by the approval of others.
When you're interesting, life becomes interesting.
People have more options than any other time in history. It’s amazing that the word “boredom” is still even in the dictionary.
Between streaming entertainment, social media, video games, and sports, it’s impossible to be bored--and those aren’t even the things that help you!
If you want to network with people, having a skill gives them a reason to deal with you. If you want a seat at the table, you need to bring something to eat.
You don’t get invited to the pot-luck if you don’t have a pot.
The only way to network is to lead with value. No one wants to hang out with a leech who only comes around for a handout.
If your dating options suck, you're either under exposed or over valued.
Shitty marketing or a shitty product has the same result: no one is buying what you're selling.
Haters are bad. Fake friends are worse.
But the most terrible are those who are friends with you only because you're worse off than them.
Poor time management is usually indicative of poor money management.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll never know when you get there.
You'll never even know if you're going in the right direction.
The solution to 95% of your complaints and problems:
That's life. Deal with it like an adult.
"Easy to dream a dream but it's harder to live it."
-Wale
Learning is a lifestyle.
There's no better place to get put up on game than the barbershop.
Sports, video games, booze.
Don't believe the hype on this side of the internet. All of it's cool as long as the rest of your shit is cool.
But if your shit ain't straight, you gotta step away from it.
Not everyone becomes wealthy, but in most developed nations it's very difficult for an adult with no felony convictions to NOT survive.
The daily grind wears you down. The distractions from it you seek make you comfortable.
Soon you're justifying not going for what you want.
Lack of rules scares the shit out of people.
Not because they won't be protected, but because there'll be nothing telling them what to do.
You might be right. You might have a great point. But if you're an asshole, no one will listen to you.
Be careful when you speak the truth
It often is misheard
What sounds like common sense to you
To others, sounds absurd
The truth has probably put more people in prison than it's ever set free.
Body sculpting via diet and exercise is a high sign of discipline.
It requires commitment in the face of low standards and constant temptation.
Building muscle and lowering body fat is the slowest act of self-love you're never forced to undertake.
The most important lessons can't be taught.
They can only ever be learned.
People with nothing to lose are always more destructive and dangerous than people with everything to gain.
It's difficult to communicate with the unmotivated.
They speak a different language and care about different things. You've been warned.
Indecision is worse than the wrong decision.
The sooner you mess up, the sooner you can fix it and learn from it.
Everybody wanna be a copy writer.
Nobody wanna make shit that needs copy written.
Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but how does a government shutdown work?
The government workers can't get paid because the money won't exist until we pass a budget?
Where does the money come from once approved? If it's not foreign, why can't we pay people and keep a tab?
A PSA on human psychology:
People don't have an obligation to get upset about EVERYTHING just because they're upset about ONE THING.
Being angry about one travesty but not another doesn't nullify their feelings.
It's ok to selectively care. It's also less exhausting.
If you don't expose your mind to different ideas and perspectives--even if you disagree with them--then your mind is weak.
MAYBE you're lucky and born with a sharp mind, but you probably aren't.
You're born dumb and you fix that by engaging in mental rigor and challenge.
You're only what you think you are, but you are that the MOMENT you think it.
Your problem is that you aren't patient enough for the physical world to catch up to your new mental frequency.
So you regress. You go back to the old bullshit, habits, and mindset.
Patience, consistancy, discipline.
These are base level abilities.
There is no "How to" method for developing them. There is no shortcut.
You just practice them everyday. Even if they never become automatic, you still keep doing them.
"People usually don’t respect your journey.
But they sure as hell notice when you arrive."
If you don't aim too high, then you're aiming too low.
Self-awareness to know your weaknesses and what you want.
Self-discipline to strengthen them and go after it.
I don't debate things I'm not personally invested in or lack experience with.
This keeps my mental energy invested in the right places.
Surest way to be to be unhappy is to make happiness a priority.
Make growth, improvement, or service a priority. Then you'll be happy.
self-respect is built and fortified via external accomplishment.
This is why people who haven't challenged themselves lack it, which further leads to them not doing things to develop it.
Hate it or love it, self-respect and confidence are started by external recognition
Happiness is a choice.
Attitude and outlook make all the difference.
Be grateful for what you have and where you are now, yet strive to improve daily.
Whenever I see fight videos on the internet, I can't help but think how little damage they do to each other.
These thugs can't punch for shit.
No wonder they resort to gun violence. Their fist can't do a damn thing!
If people don't think you are genius, then you aren't.
That's why we have defined a word to describe it.
Without validation in sales or recognition, it's delusion.
Because of broke dudes in the hood using the term so loosely, I HATE describing myself as an entrepreneur.
I'd seriously rather call myself unemployed, a loser, or broke.
The title of entrepreneur is like a nickname--you can't give it to yourself.
Making money for the sake of making money sounds boring as f*ck.
Money is one of the least motivating things for me.
The game of creation, improvement, expression, and relationship building is FAR more interesting. Money is just how we keep score.
One of the hidden costs of bettering yourself is that the arenas you haven’t improved become more glaringly obvious.
Some see that as painful while others get addicted to it.
People know what it takes. They can tell you what needs to be done.
But they don't act. Their thoughts are useless and their words, empty.
If you can't suffer a little to get what you want, you'll suffer a lot when you can't get what you need.
All of your problems are the result of forgetting either:
-Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
-Taking care of it now is easier than later
If you can consider the future, even just by one reaction, it's very difficult to end up in a bad position.
Two of the biggest mistakes you can make:
-Underestimating your enemies
-Overtrusting your allies
The two biggest giveaways that you're being deceived:
Information that should be there isn't.
Information that isn't relevant is emphasized.
Better to be cruel before kind rather than vice-versa.
With the former, people feel relieved.
With the latter, people feel deceived.
I’ve been talking to lots of manufacturers lately.
No one is talking about robots.
Everyone is talking about the risks of employing a steady supply of reliable labor.
The blue collar job is going to be taken over by temp agencies long before it’s taken over by robots.
Self-discipline and self-control determine the quality of your life more than anything else.
The average person doesn't want the truth.
They don't want to realize the reason they're:
-sick all of the time
-uneducated
-fat and out of shape
-not happy
-work a job they hate
-broke
-lonely
-stressed out
Is because of them.
They don't want to be responsible for that.
