No Sleep = Productivity!? Agree or Disagree?

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

I have always thought to myself that if I didn't have to sleep then I would get more work and tasks done that I need or want to do. Of course I understand the importance of sleep and why we need it to live, but just imagine if we didn't need it. I at least hope I would never be tired and still full of energy to accomplish as much in the day as I can without sleep. Between college and work, I rarely find time to play video games, relax, or try out any other possible interests I might have. Therefore if I could substitute sleep for any of those three replacements listed before, maybe I would not feel as if I am doing the same thing every single day and going crazy lol. Sleep takes up about one third of our lifetime, and I feel that time could have been spent finding new hobbies, interests, and new skills that I never knew I had. Maybe I would be great at guitar playing, or being an artist, or maybe even have the potential to become a body builder. I will never know unless I sacrifice the time I have to try it out. But of course life happens, and as of right now I should only focus on college, work, and sadly getting the sleep I need to continue the next day.

Do you feel the same way about sleep as I do or no? I'm interested to know your opinions. :)
