Thinking about this and reviewing the existing methods, we decided to prepare this booklet, which is aimed at support teachers, regular teachers and all those people interested in supporting the process of training the blind child.
This booklet wants to show you the procedure followed in the abacus to perform the different operations.
The exercises are developed from right to left, and as far as possible the procedure is similar to ink, since experience has taught us that the language used by the teacher is the same for all children, which has led us to modify the execution of these exercises so that they are similar to what the teacher is developing in the classroom.
This does not mean that if you do it from left to right, you are doing wrong what is important, in the case of the blind child you understand the steps that the teacher follows, of math when you are doing an exercise and likewise he build and elaborate, your own schemes. The presentation of the first primer contains addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with natural numbers and their respective mathematical symbols; In the second book, will work addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with decimal numbers and its respective mathematical symbology, the third book will work topics such as, potentiation, maximum common divisor, least common multiple, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractional and square root.
