Got rid of some hard drives

in life •  7 years ago

Several months ago I was going through my storage shed and found 3 boxes of old hard drives.

While determined to clean out my shed, I remembered reading an article concerning Bitcoin wallets forgotten on unused drives.

Hoping to find a forgotten treasure, I went to work building a computer from spare parts and searched the drives.

While no Bitcoins were found, I did find thousands of pictures and college papers i had written.

The pictures are priceless, which makes up for not finding any Bitcoin wallets.

My shed it a bit cleaner now and the old drives are off to recycling!

so many neodymium magnets

Love those magnets!

And in my area you can get like a dollar per pound of harddrives. So once you're done collecting data and pulling as many magnets as you need, make some money off of them, and maybe use that to buy bitcoin? Won't be much, so probably better off buying steem.

Hard drives are always fun to dig through, especially when they're old ones of your own.
