In these days of economic recession, 4 million Nigerians including myself have lost their jobs.

With the assistance of my family, especially @maryfavour who introduced me to steemit, I have been able to brace up and carry on with life.

Such situation for many, especially with several responsibilities which includes taking care of children who didn't seek your consent to give birth to them, can be extremely depressing. As a responsible parent, how do u suddenly become 'irresponsible?'. The employer told me how difficult life would be for me if I got laid off my JOB (just over broke on the Nigerian setting).

With much more calmness than he expected, I replied by letting him know that I am a multi-talented, highly intelligent and an independent woman. Here am I on steemit, showcasing my talents and being appreciated for it. I've been urging and i'm still urging people to sit up and use their brains and talents. Thanks to steemit/steemians for this great opportunity.

Were you or any of your friends/relatives among the 4million Nigerians laid off in 2017? What was your reaction to the situation? Feel free to share in the comment section for everyone to learn and contribute.

there's always a job taker and a job creator. you can always create your own job if you can't a job. Cheers and happy holidays!

As a matter of fact, some jobs hide people's potentials.

totally. Then again, we all need to put food on the table and pay to have the lights turn on. Slowly and surely, the passion and talents will start to decay......

Very true

the world has never been flatter than before.

You are right dear

Generally, people need to be so creative to the point that they'll be the ones firing their bosses. I resigned my paid job, a year ago. Since after resignation, I've been creating jobs for people, not on boss creating job for me.

Hmm...this is quite a difficult question to answer. The children would never understand that either of their parents have lost his job. In the long run, like @dali.soh, have stated- creating your own job, would pay off. Besides, you'll be able to employ others and reduce the high unemployment rate in Nigeria. Cheers.

@maryfavour & @redfishpillar.

Simple dear. At times we need to let go for certain good things to manifest in our lives. If we didn't leave those jobs, we wouldn't discover steemit

You said it all. To me the era of physical jobs is gradually going. Right now i give steemit .my 3-4 hours tIme and i am making what some works wont pay me from it. They are people here making what no job can pay them.

That's it.

@trendyevents you have truly inspired me. Thank you very much. I’m so in love with this post

I'm so glad to hear this. I want to be a source of courage to those who feel it's over

as recession feel in, really affected me and my family, but thank God for a platform as steemit which has helped me unravel my creativity

That's the spirit. This platform is a saving grace to many. Instead of getting unnecessarily depressed, this platform is helping us to use our brains to be helpful to others and ourselves.
Do u know it takes a lot to be depressed and it takes half of that same energy to make positive use of our brains?

i quite understand my sister. thank God for the internet of things

Steemit is a job if seen that way. Dilligence and perseverance is the stepping stone here, and we are all ready to be free. Thank you steemit.
