Most people that try to start meditating try to hard and because of that struggle, just sit down and focus on your breath, sooner or later your thoughts will drift away from your breath. Something will come to your mind, think about it and try to concentrate on your breath again. Just start with doing this for 5mins and increase the time, when you get better at it.
Just search on youtube there are some really nice videos about meditation!
