Throughout this 8 years of online work, I've used different social media and have seen some others getting started in front of my eyes. Some of these newly started social media channels are doing really well and online users are getting benefited from them. However, some others could not keep pace with their competition and went out of the race forever. Though there are plenty of options for an online user to earn money online, however, truth is, it's still very complicated for a majority of online users to earn money online. This was the scenario that Steemit changed forever as it laid a foundation of being a social media user not without getting paid anything.

STEEMIT BROUGHT ME BACK TO WRITING

I've been a professional ghost writer, content writer, copy writer or in simple words, I've been writing content online for myself and my clients. I stopped writing anything back in 2013 because it required a lot of time PLUS a mindset to keep pace with the daily routine. I stopped that because I was doing several other things online to earn my bread and butter. I did not want to write for free and freelance writing career was not something I liked. So, what I was looking for was something that could allow me to write on topics that I had interest in and without any deadline attached. I came to know about Steemit and this was exactly something I was looking for. Writing on Steemit allowed me to carry on all my other activities as there is no timeline attached to blogging here. This was something PERFECT!

STEEMIT ALLOWED ME TO GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY

Though I'm not a billionaire but I have definitely earned millions online during last 8 years of my online journey. This journey is full of many experiences both good and bad. The bad ones taught me some lessons whereas the good ones gave me the positive energy to hit the next level in whatever I was doing. Both the experiences are important in life.

So, in a nutshell I lost nothing rather gained something from both good and bad experiences.

Whatever accomplishments we have in life, if we don't share them with the world specially with the people who could take some inspiration/motivation/guideline from those achievements, we can't be successful because success is meaningless without happiness and happiness comes from sharing. In simple words, you could be the richest person of the world but that is no success if you're not happy.

Working online first as a job person, then as a freelancer for many years and now as freelancer+Steemian has been really fun for me. I think, Steemit is the best find throughout these years. It has changed many lives and I see lot more potential in it to change lives of a vast majority of the online users. Working online has been fun but through Steemit, I've got familiar with the crypto world. That's another big find for me during 2017.
