I married my best friend when I was 18. We are living an adventure that I wouldn't trade for anything.
1. You get to grow up together.
We met when I was 12. When I was 13 and he was 16 he told me he liked me and wanted to get to know me. We became instant best friends. We waited until we could date when I was 16 and then we got married when I was 18. We grew up together, are still growing up together. We have learned so many life lessons side by side and we have a deep understanding of each other from witnessing each other's maturing through the years.
2. You have each other for support in successes and failures.
I am so thankful that I have had my husband's support through everything. He helps me and supports me, no matter what. And because we know each other so well, he knows how to congratulate my successes or encourage me through my failures.
3. You know each other deeply.
Since we have been together so long, we have a deeply rooted understanding of each other. We share most of life's important memories together and we are connected by time and experience.
4. You have more time for happily-ever-after.
When we knew we were ready to get married after having spent years together, we knew there was no reason to wait. We started our story early and now we have more time to live out our dreams together. We are constantly enjoying life together. We are partners in everything and I wouldn't trade sharing my life with him for one second! Our current adventure is moving and waiting for baby #2!
Marriage at a young age worked for me. It has been part of my life story. But I understand that it isn't for everyone. My aunt didn't even meet her husband until she was 27, and that worked for her! There aren't rules for the right or wrong time to get married. You have to do what is right for you!

Congrats on your baby #2. Some people get married early, some not. It's really up to the couple and everyone has their own timing. I wouldn't think early marriage suit me. At that age I was too immature and still unsure about the direction of my life 🙂

Lovely! Reminds me of me and my hubby. We experienced the same thing, although we only got married after 10 years. We met when I was 16 (hubby 17) and got together when I was 18. Got married 10 years later. Gosh, time flies! Have a great day!
