The Lhokseumawe Islamic Center Mosque is located in T. Hamzah Treasurer - Simpang Empat, Anda Sakti District, Lhokseumawe City, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam Province. This mosque stands majestically in Lhokseumawe City and presents a very thick Middle Eastern feel. The establishment of the Islamic Center Mosque revived the thick nuances of the Islamic Empire of the Pasai Ocean which was once the first Islamic kingdom in Indonesia.

Several stages were also carried out to build this Islamic Center mosque, starting from the construction of the main structure of the mosque which was so large, with its domes which were also very amazing. The presence of this mosque could also be a solace for the people of Lhokseumawe during the earthquake and tsunami that destroyed the area in 2004.

Some facilities were also built such as the Multipurpose Building, Early Islamic Madrasah, Library Building, Guest House, Museum, Kindergarten, and Al-Qur'an Recitation Garden (TPA). Besides that, it was also built by the High Priest's House which was used as the residence of the Imam who was leading the mosque.
The Islamic Center or Center for Islamic Studies and Development stands in the center of Lhokseumawe. The Islamic Center is also part of the new Icon in the Samudera Pasai region as a new Concentration center to re-embody the sinking Islamic civilization in the First Islamic State in Southeast Asia.

The greatness of the Samudera Pasai Sultanate was indeed very widespread throughout the Aceh region. The main purpose of the construction of the Mosque and Islamic Center of Lhokseumawe City is to restore the function of the mosque as a civil center for Muslims, with various facilities that integrate religious functions, education, even to the elements of the economy.
The construction of this mosque is based on the previous historical description, where the Islamic Glory of the Ocean Pasai wants to be restored, and the overall function of the totality of the mosque as a unifying community is also included in the idea of ​​building this magnificent mosque. The idea of ​​building the Lhokseumawe Mosque and Islamic Center came from several figures of Ulama and Cendikis in the North Aceh region, led by Ir. H. Tarmizi A Karim, M.Sc, Former Regent of North Aceh at that time.

Although the overall building facilities have not been fully completed, some adequate facilities are available and can be functioned properly. The presence of the Lhokseumawe Mosque and Islamic Center also shows that Islamic civilization in the land of Rencong is increasingly advanced, with all Islamic activities that are also often carried out in the mosque and Islamic Center complex.
