Carl Sagan's Reading List

The book titled Anatomy of the Inspiration, published in 1942, describes the success as follows:

"Success depends on having enough knowledge about a particular title and having enough knowledge about external subjects to produce original / new combinations of ideas."

Few of the heroes of our modern history are as successful as the great Carl Sagan. A reading list of Sagan, obtained by the Library of Congress, shows us this wide-angle, multi-disciplinary curiosity and the mix of on-site expertise. This mixture is also supported by a healthy reading combination. Sagan notes that some books should be read as a whole, while some read only partially. Although many of Sagan's books are closely related to Sagan's field, he has included many books in history, philosophy, religion, art, social sciences, and psychology as a scientist and educator.
