Day 2 - Waking up sore with gainz feels amazing. I got up yesterday did an upper body lift, then ate breakfast and drank a shake. Waited around and hydrated up to then go kick the ball around in the indoor soccer courts. After I got done doing that I went and played a few pickup games of basketball with some friends I saw on the court. Didn't play very well due to lack of energy and not enough hydration, felt kinda shitty and checked my bloodsugar....387.. ): way over what I would consider my peak athleticism blood sugar. Sluggish, dizzy, lack of touch when shooting the ball, cotton mouth, bad balance and no explosiveness. I was extra pissed our team lost the 2nd game when were the obviously better team. I realized that my slow release protein was probably the factor in this because there wasn't any other catalyst to make my sugar that high. Lesson learned and I hope my friends and I can link up to run the courts another day. I have the height to dunk and I imagine how good of a feeling it would be to be able to be a threat like that for my team but my weight is holding me back, my calves are the weaker part of my lower body. Being 250lbs I gotta have a lot of spring to get me up to the rim but that's my goal by the time I leave here, slam one down in a pickup game.
