We all die. The ultimate end of this game of life we play is losing.
Also, I didn't say that kindness was a particular trait of mine, but I believe it is essential to me to do. Mostly I agree, that the kindness of women is their most unappreciated trait.
While I can hunt, kill, and fight, I can do so with kindness. I can kill my game humanely, kill any I must humanely, and fight only when I must, and, again, humanely.
It is a general character of my life.
YMMV
I think that I see what you mean about us being doomed to lose the game of life.
Take out a piece of paper and list the things that you would be willing to risk death for. List things such as pulling your wife out of a burning car, joining the Army to defend your country or to defeat a Hitler type of enemy, rescuing a woman being raped and beaten in an alley, etc.
If you are staring at a blank piece of paper, that means that you are being too hard on yourself with your thought experiments. Few if any of us are psychologically capable of running toward a machine gun firing directly at us. In such situations, "old brain" survival instincts take over. I'm talking about scenarios in which you would be willing to take a reasonable risk in order to protect someone or something that you love.
If you have listed anything on your paper, then you have already won the game of life, because you have found love.
