MY FEAR AND THE UNIFORM MAN. the curiosity outcome!!!

in life •  7 years ago

...Taking a lonely work home to board a mass transit at the garage and puffing my head to this jam I was listening to couldn't really get the lyrics of the song but this line "a trigger-happy cop........." sounded more audible than the entire song.

I looked up for a second and discovered I've been walking behind a uniform man who's been fiddling with his AK-47 rifle,I took off my earpiece for a moment and observed him, but not with an obvious stare though. He had their customary boots on but this dude was no where near 5'5" for his height and for once i felt like Big Show (remember that wrestler) looking at him below. His physique could be compared to a teenager who's been subjected to a meal per day all his life.

The observations did beat my imagination so my curiosity pushed me a little further, i doubled up  my pace so I could get a view of what he looked like, and hey guyz!. his face absolutely betrayed his size, someone u'd guess a teenager from behind could have been 10 years old before the end of Nigeria's civil war,but that wasn't as shocking as the odious stench of liquor that pervaded around him,so strong it could intoxicate a corpse (double wahala)

Still in my state of bewilderment, i thought for a moment, someone who won't even pass for a poultry guard is putting on an NPF uniform with an AK-47 rifle? just then he raised his head and looked across the road and saw me, it seemed my thoughts where so loud he could hear it from across, don't ask me when i crossed over to the other side (lol).

That particular line of the music came playing again in my head "a trigger-happy cop......" and my curiosity carefully evolved to caution. At that point the garage seemed miles away and i couldn't walk that lonely road having to deal with the fear of seeing the uniform man across and with his stare  still fixed on me i had to stop the next cab for a chartered fare home without even bargaining. Would you call that a cowardice act?

"Desperate situations calls for desperate measures but sometimes the measures you intend to take just happen involuntarily because they take place before you even think you actually did them and that was what happened when i found myself at the other side of the road just before i took the cab.
