What is it about us night dwellers, why do we find ourselves awake when all others sleep?
Is it the solitude and silence that can only be found in the dark?
Is it because the night offers the only chance for our awakened mind to whisper?
The one place where we can process our thoughts while conscious. I love to sleep but cannot bring myself to do it voluntarily.
Although riddled with loneliness I am most at peace alone in the dark while the world comes to a halt and rests.
I have a fascination and a craving for knowledge, yet with more knowledge comes more to think about in a mind that already runs at max capacity.
However a goal to know all things is a goal one can take solace in knowing it can never be fulfilled,
and in that I find a simplistic beauty.
