What makes us happy as we go through life? Ever wonder if you are going to invest in your future best self, where would you put your time and energy? For the majority of the people, their end goal in life is to get rich. We are constantly made to push hard and work hard in our day to day jobs, and also made to believe that by doing this only we will be able to do good in life.
Well, this post is definitely not about blaming the hollow system. I just want to share with you guys how people perceive happiness across the globe. Below is the World Happiness Index world map from the year 2017 report.

Some people say happiness is all in our mind. It's our thoughts that eventually impacts if we are having a good time or not. Different people have different versions of happiness. For some getting richer, for some getting leaner, for some following passion, for some helping others and the list goes on.

Everyone wants to be happy every day. There's never a day where we want to be unhappy. When things are going well when they are going our way we feel happy. It's always good to introspect and ask yourself why are you unhappy? Should you be really giving that much importance to the things that are not in your control.
There's no reason for us to give our happiness in the control of other people. It's high time we stop outsourcing our happiness to the people and the circumstances. There's no point in blaming others for our unhappiness.
Happiness is a choice, not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you.
