I went to bed at 10 or 10:30 PM which is early for me. In the middle of the night I decided to get up to go out my front door. But getting there was very difficult. I was being blocked, stopped, pulled and dragged down by different kinds of demonic things along the way. One was a possessed looking blonde girl who was attempting to pull me down to the floor with big black, empty eyes while letting out a high pitched scream. She seemed pretty pissed. But then there were just other weird entities and things trying to distract me or block me from getting out.
Okay, so I wake up. Oh, I hadn't really gotten up to begin with, I was still dreaming? Sure, whatever; I'm a little freaked out from the experience but still - I want to get to that front door and outside. So the same process: I get out of bed and begin walking there, but again I'm having trouble getting there. I move my legs faster but it's like sliding on ice, as though I'm stuck. At this point I begin to question reality and come to the conclusion that yes indeed, if I move my legs to walk in my home, I should move forward - so this is still a dream!
Having become lucid I feel emboldened in dealing with these demonic entities or whatever they are and begin commanding them authoritatively but they don't seem to be listening well. This is quite bewildering to me, because I've had many lucid dreams (kind of a hobby of mine) and once lucid in the dream I typically have full control over it. I'm able to control these beings somewhat, not really... kind of, but in any case I get to my front door and exit my home. Outside some other strange things happen but not as frightening as what happened inside.
And so yes, again, I wake up, still in my bed. At this point I'm really questioning reality. I want to get up, not to walk to the front door (I have no intention of doing that now, why did I in the dream?) but to go to the bathroom, but I'm worried the same thing will happen again. I take a moment to check my surroundings, basically performing reality checks. I get up, am able to walk around. There's no demonic beings or whatever they were and I'm finally able to determine that I am awake. It's 1:30 AM.
A very interesting and important experience for lucid dreaming, certainly! However the weirdness doesn't end there...
Although I am truly awake at this point strange things continue to happen. I hear a woman screaming outside. Now, it's important to note that I live in a somewhat large apartment complex in the city, so this isn't so odd in itself, but I noticed the female screams over the period of say 10 minutes. Then over the course of 15... 20 minutes these screams and yells would keep coming. I was staring out of my windows from both sides of my apartment trying to determine where they were coming from. I'd noticed that lights from other apartments were turning on and I could see other heads poking out of their windows to also try and see what was happening.
So as the screams, yells and crying continued to come over the course of almost an hour I became very curious as to what was happening. I'd noticed that there was a police car finally parked in front of our apartment. Just one car, no lights flashing, no other emergency vehicles, so this couldn't have been that big of a deal, right? But then again came another blood-curdling scream ripping apart the silence of the night. Seriously, this has been going on for almost an hour and I'm not so much freaked out anymore as I am just ready to get back to bed.
I throw on a coat and a hat, grab my umbrella to shield against the slight drizzle, and head out, 2:30 in the morning, into the unknown. What will I see down there? A psychopath wielding a knife? The mangled, bloody corpse of some husband or lover strewn in bits across the road, hit by a speeding vehicle, as the wife or whoever stands over screaming her lungs out? What could this be... this incessant yelling, crying and screaming for nearly an hour???
A drunk 20-something year old girl, plopped down on the ground, laid back against the wall on the sidewalk next to my apartment. One of the two police officers calmly standing over her notices me and walks over to ask me not to film. Dang. That's fine. But I tell him the reason I came down is because it sounded like someone was getting murdered or something, and it's just this drunk girl? Could you officers please just drag her out of her? He informs me that she lives in the complex, in another apartment, and they're trying to get in touch with her parents or whomever. I take a short walk and pass the girl on my return to my entrance, being carried along on either side by who I assumed to be mom and dad.
Great. What a night.
