The word "Sorry" is a very concise word but yet, a very powerful word which holds a very important meaning. It'll be very difficult for someone that is proud to accept his/her flaw and apologize, but someone that's humble will do it without stress, even if they're wrong. It takes humility and maturity for someone to accept their wrong and apologize thereafter. The difficulty in saying sorry has led to the demise of many persons, scattered homes and broken relationships. It costs nothing to say sorry but costs everything to not say I'm sorry. An apology can be seen as the basic reaction to any mistake.

The Word sorry can do a lot of things beyond our wildest imaginations. It can put an end to war and crisis, prevent most premature deaths we usually encounter in our societies today. Sorry, can go a very long way in saving relationships and marriages. Most troubled and broken homes that have been the order of the day in our societies are heightened because of the failure of both parties accepting their flaws and agreeing to terms to sort out their differences. Wives are reluctant and presumptuous to say "Sorry", husbands, on the other hand, are very proud to equally use the same word. Most men in our society today have this I'm the head of the family kind of mentality and they deem it unnecessary and irrelevant to say Sorry to their wives.

Sincere apologies are for those that make them, not for those to whom they are made -- Greg LeMond

We are in the part of the world where if you apologize you are seen as a weaker vessel, while the proud and arrogant set of people are seen as brave and strong. Sorry is sometimes an illusion. Welcome to the generation where people will rather end their marriages, relationships, and friendships than to belittle themselves to use the word "Sorry". Welcome to the generation where "Sorry" is seen as a very heavy word that can't be aired out easily. We all are victims of numerous things and have seen situations turned around for good just because we used the word "Sorry". So many valuables like assets, money and even lives just because of our ignorance to acknowledge the power behind the word "I'm sorry".

Now, I have seen families and friends keeping malice for years because neither side wants to take the first step to break down and apologize. But wait, who decided that apology is a sign of weakness and vulnerability? Even amongst friends, there's bound to be regular issues and quarrels hovering around because no one is ready and willing to apologize first. As life goes on, due to the orientation we have on self-knowledge and self-discovery, we realize that we tend to hurt people at some point in our lives, truth is, acknowledging this and apologizing thereafter will be a massive accomplishment. Again, sincere apologies won't take anything from us. An apology is meant to be genuine, if we do it just for the sake of doing it, then it becomes meaningless.

It's really funny, I mean, It's just two words "I'm Sorry". Yet, it is so powerful. How's this even possible? When we receive an apology from our offenders, we understand that they also feel our pain and are equally remorseful, so we tend to forgive them easily even though we are still in the healing process. An apology cannot undo what has been done but it can go a very long way in easing tension and in the healing process. Often times, those two concise and simple words may save you a lifetime of regret and explanations. "I'm Sorry" is so powerful that it can reverse a lifetime of guilt, hurt and depression.

Choose the path to humility, choose to apologize when you are faulty and choose love above pride.

So true, the power in sorry goes beyond imagination. It can change a person's mood and heal whatever pain...
Thanks for sharing....

thanks for your say dear

The problem is that sometimes selfishness wins the battle and false pride is imposed, everyone should say i sorry more often.

that is a big problem of the day

Yes in this topsy-turvy world there are many places where having Humility being Humane and living like a Human are no longer seen as important. In such places, humility is a weakness and arrogance a strength... Signs of moral and social decay 4sure.

hope we learn something so good from all these seen
