A certain young and upcoming boxer who wasn't well known was slated for a boxing battle with the then heavy weight champion.

Everyone knew he wouldn't beat this heavy weight champion because physically speaking, the heavy weight champion was way stronger than him.

He was nothing but a weakling according to the heavy weight champion.

This young boxer's mother was so excited and went about telling people her son was going to defeat the heavy weight champion.

He didn't want to disappoint his mother, so he practiced day and night just to make her proud.

Few days to the battle, his mother died and he after mourning for a while, intensified his practice.

When the day of the battle came, it didn't take seconds for the heavy weight champion to knock him down repeatedly.

After the first round, the heavy weight champion was still taking the praise and just few minutes to the end of the game, tables were turned and the heavy weight champion was defeated by the young boxer.

He became the new heavy weight champion.

When asked how he was able to defeat the heavy weight champion when everyone thought it was impossible, he said.....

"I don't know how, but I did it. I had promised my Mom before her death that I'll defeat him and with each box, I said.... This is for my Mom"

His Mom was his why....

Many people today are still finding it difficult to achieve their goals because they don't have a why.

Why do you see some people struggling really hard to make it, to earn a living, to be successful, etc...

It is because they have a specified "why"

Their why may be their family, self, shelter, love etc.

But what keeps them going is because they are reminded of their why.

It is your "why" that will make you keep pushing when all strength and hope is lost.

A prospective first class graduate will keep late nights because he/she wants to emerge the best.

Emerging the best is their why and that is why they keep pushing to succeed.

Your why is what spurs you on to keep moving no matter the set back.

I have a friend who has been struggling with setting up his business for 3 years now.

If he didn't have a "why", he most likely would have given up.

When you have a why, circumstances wouldn't stop you from pushing on.

When you have a why, the *how to execute it becomes clearer.

If you don’t have a strong REASON behind your actions, your actions are less likely to create quality results.

If you do have a strong “WHY” you have all the FUEL you need to drive you forward – to success.

In essence, our why should be our motivating force, our drive to achieve that great height....
Nice charge @julietisrael and thank @wafrica for sharing..

@wafrica and curators, thanks for this post. This post is impactful and it reminds me again to keep on with MY WHY?
What is my why? My why that is keeping me moving despite all the obstacles on my way are MY PARENTS because when I see how they struggle to raise me, to give me quality education in life that is the drive pushing me that I must make it in life so as to reciprocate their efforts and to bless my generation. That is why I'm here on steemit community.

Upvoted. This is a word for us all. Thanks for lifting up a soul today with these sayings @julietisrael.

My "Why", is to better my future and to put a smile on my mums face.

She has suffered a lot for me and it's time for her to reap her benefits from her children. That's my why. And that's gives me strength to keep pushing on no matter the storms of life.

It gives me courage, cause finally it brings out the champions in me and others how have a "why" to fight for. Thanks @wafrica, for reminding us of our purpose.

Great words of wisdom. Sometime this "WHY" might lead to desperation and may be committing evil in order to achieve one's desire though . . .

Nietzsche popularly said, "He who has a 'why' to live can bear with almost any 'how'.

The difference between you and the one who commited suicide even though you are both going through the said condition is the WHY you have found and living for.

Extraordinary useful tidbits. At some point "WHY" may prompt franticness and might confer fiendish keeping in mind the end goal to accomplish one's longing however.
